The River Valley Chamber of Commerce invites you to explore the River Valley, a true four season destination.  Within our ten town community, we have everything you are looking for.  From hiking, biking and camping in the lush green forests to skiing,  snowmobiling or ATVing on our endless scenic trails.  Surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains and clear blue rivers and lakes, these ten towns have something very special to offer.  The River Valley is truly a four season destination.

History of the Chamber

The Rumford Chamber of Commerce began on December 12, 1912. Its main goal was to secure, enhance, and attract industry in the Rumford area. It began as a men's organization in the rooms of the Business Men's Club of Rumford. In 1920 the Chamber had a membership of 125 active businessmen. In 1992 there were 52 business members, both men and women. In 1995 the name of the Chamber was changed to The River Valley Chamber of Commerce to better represent the ten towns that it covers.
