About the River Valley area Visitor's Center
The Rumford Information Center is located at 10 Bridge Street at the foot of Pennacook Falls and is owned by the Town of Rumford.
Hours:
May - October: Sun - Sat 9-5
Nov - April: Mon - Sat 10-2
A team of friendly volunteers awaits your visit to show you all that the River Valley and State of Maine has to offer.
The volunteers invite you to stop by with your camera for some spectacular views of the falls, Paul Bunyan and historic downtown Rumford. Be sure to wear your walking shoes for a trip down the River Walking Trail which will take you to Babe, Paul Bunyan’s trusty blue ox. From there you can walk through the local business district and purchase lunch in or to take out. Then off to Veteran’s Park to enjoy your lunch before returning to the Information Center that will end your walking tour.”
