Donations for the River Valley Christmas in the Valley Wagon
“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…..” ; The Christmas in the Valley committee is gearing up for another year of holiday cheer throughout the River Valley area. Christmas in the Valley officially kicks off its season on December 2nd and goes through the month of December. The theme for this year is “A Maine Christmas.” The parade and craft fair are two of the events being planned as part of the festivities of the season.
This year, the Christmas in the Valley committee will be raffling off a wooden wagon filled with gifts galore for the whole family at the craft fair. The proceeds from this raffle will go towards the (2) scholarships that are given each year to a senior from Mountain Valley High School and Dirigo High School from the Christmas in the Valley committee.
The committee is looking for help in filling the wagon with gifts and is hoping that your business will make a donation of $25 or more either in gas or food gift certificates or items to help fill the wagon.
As a thank you for helping fill the wagon, your business name and what you donated will be written on a huge homemade Christmas tag that will go on the handle of the wagon listing what is in the wagon.
Just to see a smile on someone’s face when he/she wins that wagon full of gifts makes the holidays more meaningful and we would like for you to be a part of this.
You can drop off your donation at Erik Designs or Franklin Savings Bank in Rumford. We are debuting the wagon at Oktoberfest on October 15th at the Armory and will start selling tickets at that time. If you have any questions, you can call Cheryl at 369-9008 or Peter at the Chamber office; 364-3241. Or Contact Us here.
In the spirit of the Christmas holidays, we thank you for your time and for all your support in the River Valley Chamber’s events.
